The Rotary Club of Andover will celebrate its annual Citizens Who Care & Educator of the Year (CWC-EOY) Gala on Thursday, May 8th, 2025 at the Andover Country Club. This prestigious event, which begins at 5:30 pm, honors individuals who have demonstrated exceptional volunteerism and have made significant contributions to the local community.
Since 1996, the CWC-EOY program has recognized unsung heroes whose dedication to service embodies the spirit of volunteerism. The 2025 honorees include: Ellen Arvidson, Ajita Bhat, Donald Cooper, Mary Beth Ellis & Eric Olson – The Sidney Mae Olson Rainbow Fund, Amy Janovsky, Martha Mahoney, Susan K. McCready, Shawna M. McCloskey & Kristine A. Arakelian, Mark Morgan, and Buzz Stapczynski. The 2025 Educator of the Year is Julie Diehl, and Student of the Year is Sofia Duran-Clark.
The CWC-EOY Gala is the Rotary Club’s signature event and a key fundraiser. It attracts a wide range of attendees, including families and friends of the honorees, Rotary members, town officials such as the Select Board, town manager, and state representatives, as well as volunteers from various community organizations. The event is unique in its ability to bring together such a diverse group that plays an integral role in shaping Andover’s future.
