The New Song Music Series welcomes beloved singer-songwriter Vance Gilbert on Saturday, May 17. Join us for a memorable evening with one of folk music’s most engaging and celebrated performers.

Known for his genre-defying blend of folk, jazz, and soul—infused with sharp wit and masterful storytelling—Gilbert delivers performances that are equal parts humor, heart, and authenticity. He has released 13 albums, toured with acclaimed artists such as Shawn Colvin, Arlo Guthrie, and George Carlin, and was even featured on a Grammy-nominated children’s album!

The Chicago Tribune praised his performance, writing, “Gilbert took the stage accompanied only by an acoustic guitar, a whimsical sense of humor, and an astonishingly smooth, pure tenor voice. But that proved to be more than enough.”
