This class is designed for painters of any experience. We will paint in the studio from photographs. Our subjects will be mainly but not limited to landscapes. Other subjects may also include animals, figures and still lifes.
The goal of this class is to teach fundamentals of composition, shape and color. We will learn to simplify design, see big shapes, control edges, use color and shape to create a beautiful painting. Class begins with a demonstration and brief talk followed by one on one instruction. Students are encouraged to continue on the paintings between classes. A group critique will be held at beginning of the following class.
