Step into the past to explore the world of historic food! In the days before grocery stores, people spent a lot of their time growing, preparing, and eating it. It not only filled their bellies but made them money, too! In this program, you’lll get hands-on experiences as you explore historical documents, preserve fruits and & vegetables, and learn about colonial kitchen tools in an authentic 18th century home kitchen. Along the way, you’ll act as an apprentice – a historic term for a young person learning a trade – to find out what it takes to be a historian!
