Our business goal is to establish Goodnight Johnny’s American Music Bar as a destination restaurant in Burlington, offering a family-oriented menu within a fun musical atmosphere. The intention is to offer both programmed and live music and encourage dancing on selected evenings. The menu is envisioned to offer meals with fresh, high-quality ingredients at affordable prices. Options will include fresh salads and lighter fare, along with hearty entrees in the spirit of “American comfort food,” with the overall goal of having something on the menu for everyone. It is understood that the menu will evolve over time, both seasonally and based on feedback from our clientele.
As mentioned above, music will drive the theme of the restaurant. It will be playfully reflected within the interior design of the space and will be a consistent audible reminder within the restaurant experience. Whether the music on any given evening is programmed or live, it is our intention that one may be able to hold a conversation without shouting across the table. Our restaurant will not be a “rock venue”; rather, it will be an establishment where friends and family will feel comfortable sharing a meal and listening to good, accessible music. The musical genres we will highlight could be termed “Oldies Music,” focusing on blues, jazz, and country, along with popular music from the ’50s’, ’60s to soul music and classic rock of the 70′, ’80s.
