The roots of the Plenus Group, Inc. go back to a single recipe for that quintessential New England dish, clam chowder. Our New England Clam Chowda was first served up in the late ’80s in Boston’s bustling Faneuil Hall Marketplace. The chowder proved so popular that it launched a food manufacturing operation that became PGI. Since that very first recipe, PGI has grown into an extremely well respected manufacturer of value-added specialty frozen foods with an emphasis in soups, sauces and gourmet frozen food items, sticking to our philosophy of handmade, small-batch cooking using fresh, high-quality ingredients.
