The Town of Boxborough’s rugged, hilly terrain shows the effect of glacier scouring in its geological past. It is a small upland community with a hill-top town center featuring well-preserved Federal period houses. Much of the community retains its historical character. Boxborough has an early agricultural history, which includes apple orchards and dairy farming.
