On April 19th, 1775, shot was heard ‘round the world and the Battles of Lexington and Concord kicked off the American Revolution. 250 years later, on April 19th, 2025, MA250 celebrates the semiquincentennial anniversary of these historic battles. As the home of both Lexington and Concord, MA, the Greater Merrimack Valley invites you to come visit and commemorate 250 years of American history and independence.

MA250: Commemorate 250 Years of Independence

250 years ago, the men and women of what is now the state of Massachusetts came together to stand against the British Redcoats. Now communities across the nation can come together to celebrate the result of this brave act. Communities in the Greater Merrimack Valley include: Acton, Bedford, Billerica, Chelmsford, Concord, Dracut, Dunstable, Harvard, Lexington, Lincoln, Littleton, Stow, Westford, Wilmington, Woburn and Burlington.
