We launched the Mill City Events Fund in 2022 as a new fundraising approach for City events. MCEF helped us elevate Lowell’s corner stone events and draw thousands of people to Lowell over the course of the past two years.
We hope to build on our previous success and continue to increase the scope of our events. 2024 planning is well underway! Here are some exciting news:
Winterfest
We are excited to launch a whole new version of WinterFest this year. The revamped WinterFest will return to it’s roots in downtown Lowell and feature a truly immersive experience. WinterFest will feature local music, an arts market, activities for the whole family and temporary public art throughout Palmer and Middle Street. We will be working closely with our downtown partners.
Lowell 4th of July
Plans have already begun for an event on July 4th, 2024, to celebrate Independence Day. In 2023, we saw thousands of people attend the Independence Day Celebration at Boarding House Park, and we expect the attendance to continue to grow.
City of Lights
The addition of performers to the City of Lights in 2022 elevated the quality and attendance of the event’s festivities. We are planning on enhancing the City of Lights celebrations in 2024 to draw more people into Lowell.
Sponsorship packages include name recognition in signage at all events as well as in print and digital advertising and partner sites like the Greater Merrimack Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau, Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce, and InsideLowell. Sponsorship payments can be made as a one time payment, invoiced quarterly, or invoiced biannually. This year’s sponsor levels reflect Winterfest, July 4th, and City of Lights.
Signing up for sponsorships is an easy and efficient way to get your name on advertising as early as possible!
