27th Concord Garden Tour is Friday, June 3, and Saturday, June 4

Organized by the Guild of Volunteers of the Concord Museum

CONCORD – The Concord Museum’s Garden Tour has become a New England tradition, attracting garden lovers from near and far. Tour seven private gardens in Concord that reflect the individual interests and passions of the owners and their families. The self-guided tour will inspire both new gardeners designing their first perennial bed and accomplished landscapers.

“The gardens are works of art, full of specimen plants and trees,” explains Holly Salemy, Co-chair of the Garden Tour along with Jen Lannan. “Visitors will also experience how the gardens relate to their surroundings, such as the garden that provides the foreground to sweeping river views or the garden perfectly matched to its historic home. There are lots of surprises in store for the visitor, and we thank the garden owners for sharing their treasures with us.”

All proceeds from the tour support the Concord Museum’s Education Programs, which annually serve over 10,000 students from throughout Massachusetts.

The tour of the seven Concord gardens is self-guided and self-paced, beginning each day at 9:00 a.m. and continuing until 4:00 p.m. Garden-goers should arrive at the Museum by 8:45 a.m. to pick up their maps prior to starting out. Tickets are good for either or both days, but each garden may only be visited once. Tickets may be purchased online at concordmuseum.org; at the front desk of the Concord Museum (GPS Address: 53 Cambridge Turnpike, Concord); or by phone at 978-369-9763, ext. 216. Advance Tickets purchased through May 28 are $30 for members of the Concord Museum and $35 for non-members. Tickets purchased after May 28 or at the door are $40.
