Wedding season is on the horizon, which means it’s time to start planning your groom-to-be’s amazing bachelor party! But despite what pop culture tells us, a bachelor party doesn’t have to be like The Hangover where it’s a wild and crazy misadventure that no one can remember the next day. This party should be a chance to celebrate the groom and for his closest friends to make memories and have a blast before one of the biggest days of his life.
But if your guest of honor isn’t into the wild party life, what kind of bachelor party can you throw for him? The Greater Merrimack Valley has you covered.
For the Foodie Bachelor
When your guest of honor loves food and drink, there’s no better place to take your party than Lord Hobo Brewing Company. With two indoor seating sections, each showcasing an expansive 40 draft line system, the Woburn taproom can accommodate just about any palate. They have fan-favorite core offerings, limited and brewery-only Lord Hobo releases, and rotating guest taps for wine and cider. Plus there’s a full menu with a range of appetizers, sandwiches, craft pizzas, and more!
Saturdays are not available for private events but you can contact the brewery for availability on other days of the week. If you’ve got a smaller party, consider avoiding the hassle and instead just stopping in for dinner to end your night and catch the big game together.
For the Life of the Party
When planning a good bachelor party, it’s key to make sure that the groom has fun. The second most important thing is to make sure that the rest of the guests have fun. Holding the party at Wamesit Lanes Family Entertainment Center ticks both these boxes. From Ten Pin and Candlepin Bowling, to indoor golf simulators, to over 60 arcade games, everyone will find something they love. Select your event package that best suits your guest of honor’s preferences and let the staff take care of the rest.
There’s also great food and drink options available at the Firewater Tavern, so your party won’t be gaming on an empty stomach. From appetizers to entrees to dessert, their menu will surely please everyone’s taste buds.
For the Cinephile Bachelor
Your friend loves movies and would rather stay in and watch his favorite film than go out partying, but none of the groomsmen have a living room big enough to accommodate all of the people he wants at his bachelor party. What do you do? You can rent the Luna Theater for a private event on a Saturday or Sunday morning, that’s what!
For only $300, you can rent out the theater from 10am to 1pm and watch the groom’s favorite feature-length movie on the big screen. The theater’s capacity is 80 people (56 armchairs and 24 barstools) so there should be more than enough room for your guests. Discuss a concession package to ensure his favorite snacks will be served, or brunch catering is available from Coffee and Cotton.
Remember, a bachelor party isn’t about hangovers and debauchery; it’s about the groom having fun with his best friends. So skip the bars and clubs and come together for a memorable night in the Greater Merrimack Valley.
