“El Encuentro: The Latino Film Experience” is coming to Lowell, MA!
On October 14, and 15th at 7:00PM, original, short films by Hispanic filmmakers will be showcased at the brand-new Richard and Nancy Donahue Theatre at Middlesex Community College, 240 Central St, Lowell, MA.
Featuring short films from 3 mins to 15 mins in length from all genres (Animation, Original Screenplays, Documentaries) this festival is proud to present the works of Latino filmmakers from all over the US and Puerto Rico, as a part of Hispanic Heritage Month.
Final chosen films have been culled from over 200 submissions by talented, exciting new filmmakers, showcasing a previously underrepresented talent pool in the film industry.
“Art is the Handmaid of Human Good” is on the city seal of Lowell, MA, and “El Encuentro” has found a home in Lowell, MA, a mill city that boasts one of the most diverse and artistic populations in America.
Each evening will feature 90 minutes of original content. Tickets for this exciting event are $15, $10 for MCC students, and can be purchased through Eventbrite at our website:
