A New England winter comes with very unpredictable weather, but nonetheless, Woburn is the ideal place to bundle up and enjoy the cold season from inside.

For the KiddosDave and Busters

For the parents with kids who can’t seem to sit still, Woburn’s activity spots are perfect for the winter season. While you get to ditch the puffer jacket for a few hours, your kids will have the time of their lives at Dave & Buster’s. This real-life children’s wonderland features around 95 different arcade games along with tabletop games, billiards, and air hockey.

The Woburn location is also unique in the sense that the arcade room is one spacious area where you can easily keep an eye on your kids while sitting at the full bar. Yes, you read that correctly, while Dave & Buster’s caters to kids, their drink menu and full-service restaurant are the adult wonderland.

For additional indoor fun, you cannot go wrong with visiting Woburn Bowladrome, a glow-in-the-dark bowling alley, or playing some laser tag at XtremeCraze.

Calling All Hockey Fans…

Is your favorite winter activity hockey or ice skating? But is dragging your family to an outdoor rink in New England in the winter not very feasible? No worries, in Woburn you have the option of going to not one, not two, but three different ice skating rinks without ever leaving the city or layering up for an outdoor arena!

Dream Big Hockey Club was founded by former professional hockey player Freddy Meyer. Meyer first played hockey at Boston University before making it to the NHL where he developed the motto “Dream Big”. In the summer of 2012, Meyer moved back to the Boston area and established Dream Big Hockey which is now a premier hockey institution.

The O’Brien Rink and Holland Arena are two other public rinks that you can enjoy during the colder months! At O’Brien, you can enjoy an hour of public skate time or catch a youth hockey practice. This arena is home to the Youth Woburn Tanners hockey team as well as the MassBay Warriors, a tri-city youth girls league.

Head over to the Holland Arena is you are looking for a more private skating experience. This rink is a private, family-owned institution through which you can book private ice time for you and your family!

Cozy Lodging

Before you start your Woburn adventures in the morning and when they conclude at night, enjoy the cozy beds and continental breakfasts at some of Woburn’s finest lodging sites. Not to mention that the winter months tend to see some affordable hotel costs so it’s very likely that your stay will be well within your budget!

The Hilton Boston/Woburn is in a great location, a mere 10 miles from Boston, with a pool and complimentary shuttle. Similarly, there is a Hampton Inn by Hilton Boston/Woburn that is conveniently only a 20-minute drive from Logan International Airport if you are visiting from far away!
