Gingerbread House Walk in Downtown Lowell Nov. 26

Shop Lowell organizer Lee Pho of Little Delights Bakery is pleased to announce the return of the Gingerbread House Walk again this year.  The participating businesses will feature beautiful hand made houses decked out for the holidays as the competition gets underway. Fourteen unique houses will be located throughout the downtown and a “Gingerbread Trail” map will be provided at participating sites and also at the Lowell National Historical Park Visitor Center. Use the map to find all of the houses, which are decorated in a variety of styles and relive the delights of childhood…as you peek into the windows of these creations. Material both edible and inedible is fair game and businesses vie to create the “most delicious”, “most inventive” and “most true to the business” entries. A committee will judge the entries and their awards will be made on December 5th.
This event is sponsored by Shop Lowell and Made in Lowell and is part of the annual City of Lights celebration.
Houses will be on display throughout town Nov. 26 through December 3, and a sweet treat awaits those who visit every house. On December 4 the houses will all be moved for display at Arts League of Lowell, 307 Market St. and prizes will be awarded. Participating businesses and galleries include: Gates Block Artists, Arts League of Lowell, Red Antler Apothecary, Cobblestones, Humanity Boutique, Little Delights Bakery, Bishop’s Legacy Restaurant, Rosie’s Café, The Social Pup, Tutto Bene Wine and Cheese, Z Gallery, Allura Salon & Spa and the Brush Gallery.
Attached are photos of last year’s winning entries.
