4th of July Fireworks
Thursday, July 4, 2024

Celebrate the 4th of July in Acton, MA at Acton’s Independence Day Celebration. This free public event will have a variety of food vendors, plus a free concert featuring the Nation’s #1 Cars Tribute Band – Best Friends Girl from 7-9:30 pm After the concert, look up at the night sky and watch the fireworks at 9:30 pm. Free shuttle buses will bring guests to and from the NARA starting at 5:30 pm until the end of the event.

If you love a good farmer’s market, you need to head over to Mill No. 5 on Sundays through August. The weekly Farm Market has a focus on local farmers and makers from the Merrimack Valley. Open Taproom

History Mini Camp for Grades 3-5

Do your kids love history? Give them an unforgettable experience running an 18th century tavern with Be a Tavern Keeper! A History Mini Camp for Grades 3-5. In this one-day camp, 3rd through 5th graders will spend the day in a real historic tavern to see if they have what it takes to earn their innkeeper’s license. They’ll participate in hands-on activities to learn about tavern, how homes were lit before electricity, what games were played in the parlor, and more! Advanced registration is required.
History Mini Camp for Grades 6-8

In the 18th century, many lived or worked on a farm. With Run a Colonial Farm! A History Mini Camp for Grades 6-8, kids can learn what farm life was like for farmers during colonial times. In this one-day camp, kids become historians as they explore a historic house and artifacts that tell us about our past. We’ll get hands-on as we learn about the chemistry of making ink, the science of preserving food and the dances you’ll need to master for the harvest frolic.
