THEN TRY SOMETHING NEW AT LOWELL KIDS WEEK 2018!

Lowell, MA — Temperatures are dropping, but fun is on the rise at Lowell Kids Week 2018! Lowell Kids Week is an annual festival of free family fun that takes place during February school vacation, February 19-24, 2018. Events are hosted throughout Lowell by over twenty partner organizations, offering approximately two dozen programs, and serving over 2,500 local kids and their families. This year, families will enjoy an exciting variety of new programs, as well as many returning favorites. There’s something for everyone, so get ready for a week full of creativity, discovery, and fun at Lowell Kids Week 2018! Here is a sneak peek of some of the programs you can look forward to:

• Kick off the week with Lowell Kids Week Family Festival. Come meet your neighbors, make art, and explore something new about your community! The festival will activities and giveaways from community organizations, kid-friendly workshops, art-making, and more.
• Your detective skills will be put to the test with a winter scavenger hunt at Hawk Valley Farm, become a ‘parkitect’ at the Boott Cotton Mills Museum at Lowell National Historical Park, and learn to weave at the Tsongas Industrial History Center.
• See Peter Rabbit at AMC Tyngsboro 12, learn and play traditional Khmer games, create a “Terrific Terrarium” and build your S.T.E.A.M skills.
• Weather too cold? Enjoy hot drinks and sweet treats along with arts and crafts at Coalition fo a Better Acre, BINGO with your grandparents at Council on Aging, and meet Rowdy the River Hawk at the Tsongas Center basketball court.

The fun doesn’t stop there! The complete schedule of events will be available February 1st atwww.lowellkidsweek.org. All programs are free, but many require pre-registration – plan ahead and register early!

Lowell Kids Week is just one of the many programs we offer throughout the year.
