November Offerings at Lowell National Historical Park
Two Days of Fee Free Admission for all and
Family Activities at the Boott Cotton Mills Museum
Lowell, MA – Lowell National Historical Park honors veterans and highlights families during November. In honor of Veterans Day, Lowell National Historical Park will be waiving museum fees for all visitors at the Boott Cotton Mills Museum on Saturday and Sunday, November 11 and 12, 2017. Lowell National Historical Park would like to invite our communities to visit and to learn more about the history, heritage and people of Lowell.
Hands On History Programs: Connect, Create, and Discover! Saturday, November 11, all are welcome to drop in at the Tsongas Industrial History Center at the Boott Cotton Mills Museum any time from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. This program will focus on the waterpower workshop. Bring the whole family to the Boott Cotton Mills Museum and experience the educational workshop to discover the Industrial Revolution and its legacies. Activities are appropriate for all ages.
The Boott Cotton Mills Museum tells the story of America’s Industrial Revolution, labor, and the rise, fall, and rebirth of Lowell. The museum includes an operating 1920s weave room, and is currently open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to begin their visit at the National Park Visitor Center at 246 Market Street. Free parking is available at the Visitor Center parking lot at 304 Dutton Street.
Hands-On History are offered on the 2nd Saturdays of the month and Your City Saturday occurs on the 3rd Saturday of the month and are part of Lowell National Historical Park’s family programming planned for 2017-2018.
