Wedding planning is not an easy task to take on. There’s so much to schedule and coordinate, from the flowers to the food to the ceremony. Luckily, the Greater Merrimack Valley is ideal for a wedding not just because of its beautiful scenery, but because there’s a ton of vendors right at your fingertips.

It doesn’t matter if you’re looking for historic venues or modern conveniences, you’ll find something that will suit your wedding’s vibe. Here’s a selection of great vendors for your various wedding needs.

Ceremony

The Greater Merrimack Valley has no shortage of historic buildings that would make an incredible location for your ceremony. If you’re looking for a classic church and steeple as your backdrop, look no further than the 216 First Parish Meeting House.

The meeting house has everything you need for the perfect ceremony. The exterior is fantastic for taking photos, with manicured grounds, an on-site gazebo, and a steel walking bridge spanning Flint Pond. The interior has been completely renovated, offering modern amenities while still maintaining a classic look and one of the 398 bells forged by the Paul Revere Company. A four hour rental includes the use of a dressing room, sound system, and the Mason & Hamlin organ.

Reception Hall

There are tons of great places to hold your reception, from restaurants to country clubs, and all have their own packages and perks. One of the best options is Vesper Country Club, as it has amenities for wedding receptions both large and small. Their experienced event coordinator will assist you with arrangements throughout the planning process, including the day of the ceremony.

This venue offers three event space options depending on your needs and the size of your guest list. The Ballroom can accommodate between 120 and 150 people, depending on if you want a dance floor. Its stone fireplace and outdoor deck overlooking one of America’s most beautiful rivers offers a great sense of luxury. The River Room on the second floor of the Clubhouse can accommodate 25-50 people. It’s perfect for intimate receptions while still providing stunning views of the Merrimack Valley. If you’re looking for a more casual wedding, the Pool and Poolside Cafe are available seasonally for evening events. Because of the adjacent lawn, it can accommodate anywhere from 20 to 150 guests, making it extremely versatile.

Wedding Decor

Some people love the challenge of a DIY wedding, while others would rather let someone else handle the decor. If you’re the latter, you should call up Consider It Done Special Events. They’ll provide the amazing decor you need to make your wedding glamorous and exciting. After all, a bare function hall just doesn’t feel like a wedding, does it?

From the floor to the ceiling, they have you covered in the decorations department. They offer audio, video, and lighting to make sure your wedding has the right ambiance. Centerpieces, from flowers to feathers to candles to table top chandeliers, ensure every table looks perfect. Speaking of tables, they offer special sweetheart table decor. This included arches, drapes, linens, and even thrones! For extra fun, rent a photo station so guests can have fun, personalized souvenirs to take home and remember your wedding by.

Catering

No wedding is complete without a good meal. Lenzi’s Catering Service, Inc. has established itself as the primary catering service in the Merrimack Valley since 1985. Their strong reputation for service, professionalism, expertise, and stress-free accommodation will make your event go as smoothly as possible.

Their off-site buffet menus have a variety of options that will accommodate your budget and leave your guests satisfied. Tossed green salads, homemade chicken pot pie, baked country ham, and more will have your guests’ mouths watering.

Furthermore, they also offer reception services on-site in their ballroom that can fit 380 people. If you’re looking for additional convenience and fewer vendors to juggle, be sure to check out their wedding packages.

Flowers

Flowers might not be absolutely necessary for a wedding, but they’re as iconic as the dress and cake. While there are several great florists in Lowell, the Flower Mill stands out for its stunning wedding floral arrangements.

Known for their custom arrangements with modern, chic designs and seasonal blooms, you’re in good hands. These experienced florists have spent years crafting everything from bouquets to boutonnieres, so they’ll take the stress out of ordering flowers. They will collaborate with you to create a floral story that will reflect the season, the venue, and most importantly, the couple.

Transportation

Wedding parties deserve to drive up to their venues in style. If you lack your own Rolls Royce or stretch limo, consider the services of Corporate Coach and Limousine. It’s a great way to make sure the whole wedding party arrives together and makes a stunning entrance.

The fleet of cars has options for a wide range of parties. If the bride wishes to roll up to the ceremony with just her mother or father, or just has an exceptionally poofy ball gown, rent a two-passenger Rolls Royce. If the wedding party is traveling together for photos, their Cadillac stretch limo can fit up to fourteen passengers. Party buses and hummer stretch limos can fit up to twenty passengers, meaning that everyone will make it to the venue together. No missing bridesmaids or groomsmen to hunt down!

Wedding Photographer

A wedding is a day you’ll want to remember forever, and that means you want photographs. True, your guests will likely take their own photos to post on social media, but there’s nothing that compares to a professional photographer.

With twenty years of experience in wedding, fashion, portrait, commercial, and event photography, Alyce L. O’Connell Photography is the best you could ask for. Experienced and fun to work with, she’ll take flattering photos that will tell a story and leave you with the desired impression. The memories of your special day are in good hands.

Rehearsal Dinner

The rehearsal dinner isn’t essential to a wedding, but it is a wonderful way to thank your wedding party for their hard work and get family from out of town together. That’s why you should book a private room at Cobblestones Restaurant the night before the wedding to celebrate and relax.

The four private event rooms provide the perfect atmosphere for your rehearsal dinner. The Meeting Room and Chef Z’s Music Room can fit between 20-25 guests in an intimate and classy setting. The 2nd Story and the 3rd Floor Clubhouse can fit up to 100 guests, and are great for swanky parties where guests can mix and mingle. It’s a fantastic way to treat your guests to a night out before the big day.

No matter what type of wedding you plan, whether it’s small and intimate or grand and extravagant, you’ll find accommodations and vendors all over the Merrimack Valley. What matters most is that you and your partner have a memorable, magical day to start off your many years of blissful, married life together.
