The Wayside Re-opens

Concord, MA. The Wayside was home to three literary families and will re-open to the public, Saturday, June 25th 2016 beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Park rangers at Minute Man National Histoircal Park are inviting everyone to take part in the event. Meet Margaret Lothrop, Nathaniel Hawthorne, and Louisa May Alcott and tour the house, which has been closed for three years for major rennovations. Guests will also have the opportunity to preview a sneak peek of the film, “Half the History: The Wayside,” done by the Tufts University students in April- with the house and its stories told through Margaret’s eyes.
SATURDAY, JUNE 25th Re-Opening Events
11:00a.m. Program will begin with opening remarks by Superintendent, Nancy Nelson.
11:30 a.m., Meet Margaret Lothrop (portrayed by Jane Sciacca), who will lead the first tour of the house.
11:30 a.m. Refreshments by Friends of Minute Man National Park.
Noon-5:30 Open House
Admission is Free Saturday June 25.
Regular hours- beginning Sunday June 26.
Wayside will be open Thursday-Monday9:30-5:30
Sunday 11:30-5:30 through August 13 (closed Tuesday and Wednesday)
