Listen up, lovebirds! Valentine’s Day is almost here. Do you have a special place to take that even more special someone? If you’re scratching your head wondering just what to do on February 14th–we’ve got you covered.
The Greater Merrimack Valley is filled with incredible places to visit for a romantic evening out on the town–or if you’re celebrating with your closest besties. Either way, there’s plenty to do!
Catch a Flick
Let’s start off with a date night classic: dinner and a movie! There are a bunch of great movie theaters throughout the Merrimack Valley–like Showcase Cinemas de Lux in Lowell, MA. And some fantastic films to see as well. Here are just a few to get you started:
Titanic 25-Year Anniversary: Relive the epic romance in this re-release of the James Cameron classic film, Titanic. And best of all, the re-release features a remastered version of the film in stunning 4K (and 3D where available). *SPOILERS* They could have both fit on that door, right?
Magic Mike’s Last Dance: Channing Tatum is back as Magic Mike in Magic Mike’s Last Dance releasing just in time for Valentine’s Day this year. Need we say more?
80 for Brady: A stellar cast, road trip hijinks, and Tom Brady?! What more could you ask for? 80 for Brady stars Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Rita Moreno, and Sally Field as best friends who travel to Super Bowl LI to see the GOAT himself.
Knock at the Cabin: Maybe you prefer a little more adrenaline in your Valentine’s Day movie outing. If so, catch Knock at the Cabin from M. Night Shyamalan. This thriller is sure to have enough crazy twists to keep you at the edge of your seat (and clutching the hand of your date).
And as an added bonus: Showcase Cinemas offers all your favorite concessions and even a lobby bar for some classic and movie-themed cocktails. What’s not to love?
Have a Romantic Dinner
You can’t do dinner and a movie without the well. . .dinner. Luckily, there are so many (like, so many) amazing restaurants to visit in the Merrimack Valley. The only problem you’re going to have is picking one. So if you’re planning on dinner and a flick or you just want to sit across from your partner and make googly eyes all night, here are a few places to check out:
