Concord, MA – January 18, 2018 — February is short and sweet at Verrill Farm – including a special Valentine’s Dinner for Two prepared with TLC in the stand kitchen to enjoy at home with your honey! While the fields rest, events throughout the month high light Verrill Farm’s kitchen – from special occasion fare to our popular hot soups available daily to melt the winter chill.

Valentine’s Dinner – From the heart of our kitchen to your table!
This year’s mid-winter, mid-week Valentine’s date says put your reservations on hold and make the evening a special occasion at home with dinner for two provided by Verrill Farm! The three course dinner is restaurant elegant, comes with a long stemmed rose and is perfectly priced to leave money in your pocket for a bottle of bubbly. The menu includes:
• Antipasto salad for Two
• Choice of entrée: Duck leg confit and pan seared duck breast; Beef Wellington with sherry mushroom sauce; Seafood mixed grill; Portobello mushroom strudel
• French Finale Sampler: an eclair, canelé, hand crafted chocolate & macarons.
Valentine’s Dinner for Two is $80.00 ($40 per person). Please place orders by Sunday, February 11, for pick up on Valentine’s Day between noon and 6:00 pm.
Saturday, February 3, 9:00 am – noon: Pancake Breakfast & Benefit
Warm a winter day with pancakes hot off the griddle served with Massachusetts made maple syrup, sausage, bacon, oj, milk & coffee.
• $8.50 for adults & $4.50 for kids under 10.
Proceeds from this event go to benefit Find Ovarian Cancer Early.
Two years ago Nora, the wife of a Verrill Farm team member, was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer. Nora is now fund raising for Mass General which, in partnership with the Broad Institute, is working to develop a blood test to discover this disease in its early stages.

Choose from a parade of New Orleans inspired fare including jambalaya, blackened catfish, gumbo, popcorn shrimp, bourbon bread pudding, Bananas Foster cream pie and other Louisiana classics. Items available first come, first served.
February School Vacation Cooking Classes
• 3:00 – 4:30 pm in the farm stand kitchen
• These hands-on classes are popular & sell out quickly so sign up soon!

Chocolate Cream Pie, Banana Cream Pie & Fresh Fruit Tarts! Chefs-in-training will make fillings, assemble & decorate these tasty desserts.
Thursday, February 22: Cooking with Kevin for Grades 1 – 3
Stuffed Things – raviolis, dumplings, savory tarts & empanadas! A menu of fun to make & fun to eat favorites for these young chefs!
All Month – CSA Sign Up: The arrival of freshly grown local crops is just around the corner making now the time to buy shares in Verrill Farm’s 2018 CSA & enjoy farm fresh vegetables for 20 weeks, June 14 to November 3. A choice of items every week, recipes from our kitchen, surprise perks and more have made our CSA very popular!
