Wellness on the Walkways Returns
LOWELL, MA. Join Lowell National Historical Park as we celebrate the return of the highly successful Wellness on the Walkways series with the first Urban Hike and Photography Walk of the season. Kick off the Wellness on the Walkways series on Sunday, March 18th with a hike along the mighty Merrimack River. Discover Lowell’s waterways on this two-mile round-trip hike with shorter alternatives available. The walk is free and all are welcome to join us from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Do you love taking pictures as you travel? On Sunday, March 25th Wellness on the Walkways returns with a Photography Walk from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Join park rangers for an exploration of some fascinating downtown locations. On this walk, we will bring visitors to a variety of interesting downtown locations, talking about the history of the area and taking photographs along the way. Don’t forget your camera too.
We encourage everyone to wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather. Please bring plenty of water and snacks. Meet the Ranger at the Lowell National Historical Park Visitor Center (246 Market Street, free parking is available at 304 Dutton Street). Attend a FREE program and receive your very own Wellness on the Walkways collectible button! Return for each event and collect the complete series.
