Eats
You can’t have a festival without mouthwatering bites. And at the Winterfest, you’ll find just that. This year, a bunch of local food trucks will be lined up on the Gervais Lot right across from the Lowell Memorial Auditorium. And really, is there anything better than scrumptious food served fresh off the truck? We don’t think so!
This year, you’ll find:
- Butter UR Biscuit: Latin soul food–think empanadas, various rice bowls, and, of course, biscuits.
- Empanada Dada: Freshly made, mouthwatering empanadas of various types.
- Wicked Tasty: New England classics, with a twist! Burgers, poutine, loaded fries, and more!
- Eggroll Cafe: A selection of Asian fusion street food and specialty egg rolls.
- Clyde’s Cupcakes: Fresh sweet treats!
St. Anne’s Chocolate Festival
Want even more sweet treats? St. Anne’s Church will also host a chocolate festival during the festival on Saturday from 11am to 4 pm. You’ll get to try all kinds of chocolate–all you can eat! And there will also be raffles, prizes, and other fun activities to enjoy. Admission is $10 per adult, $8 for kids 6-12, and free admission for age 5 or under.
Richard Rourke Memorial Soup Bowl Competition
A Winterfest highlight. Every year, the soup bowl competition features the best of the best of local restaurants competing to see which soup (or chowder) reigns supreme. The competition takes place on Saturday from 12 to 2 pm at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium. And for $5 at the door, you get to try all the soups you want! Be sure to vote for your best.
Family Fun
The Winterfest has plenty to do for the entire family, especially your little ones. Enjoy a creative activity or play giant games! The choice is yours! Here’s what you can expect:
- Bonaparte Magic Show
- Dinoman!
- Bubbles McGee
- Youth Mural Competition
- Rotary Club’s Marshmallow Roasting Station
- And more!
Art Market
On Friday from 6 to 9 pm and Saturday from 12 to 5 pm, you can visit the Art Market. The market features various types of arts and crafts handmade by local vendors. You’ll also get to try even more specialty foods (we really hope you bring your appetite to the festival). And who knows? You might even find a special, one-of-a-kind something to bring home with you.
