Western Avenue Studios and Lofts is a thriving, creative community of over 300 working artists, situated in an historic mill building campus in Lowell, Mass. Since 2005, the studios have grown to become the largest collection of working artists in the Northeast. Types of artists include fiber artists, glass artists, jewelers, literary artists, metal workers, painters, photographers, potters, printers, woodworkers, sculptors and more. The Studios and Lofts artists host year round First Saturday Open Studios and additional events, classes and workshops for artists. Weekday afternoons the Studios building is open with usually a dozen artists at work in their studios.
