Marks the line where the Militia faced the Regulars on April 19th. As tradition has it, Captain Parker uttered his famous words “Stand your ground, don’t fire unless fired upon, but if there means to be war, let it begin here.” As Parker ordered his men to disperse, a shot rang out, provoking the Regulars to fire and the Revolution had begun. To this day, no one knows who fired the first shot.
