November seems to be a time when reunions, whether it’s classes or families, tend to occur. Maybe it’s because everyone is already traveling or the spirit of Thanksgiving translates into togetherness even outside of the home. Either way, if planning the reunion falls on you, there are lots of options for event spaces in Merrimack Valley. Whether it’s a function hall or a private room at a restaurant, you’ll find venues for gatherings of every size when you plan your reunion.

Frolic & Detour

Frolic & Detour in Acton, Massachusetts is a full-service bar and restaurant perfect for reunions of all sizes. Located in a stunning two-story waterfront building, the main bar features 20 draught-lines of popular and unique beers from breweries throughout New England. There’s few things better for a reunion than food made from locally sourced ingredients and handcrafted cocktails.

The modern yet comfortable first floor holds the Bistro and the Porch private function rooms. The Porch can accommodate up to 24 people while the Bistro can hold up to 80 guests. Both offer stunning views of the nearby pond and the two rooms can be combined to hold even more guests. Upstairs, you’ll find the Loft and the Cottage. The Cottage is an intimate private room capable of seating up to 10 guests. In contrast, the Loft can hold up to 150 guests. This means that no matter the size of your reunion, Frolic & Detour has the right room for you.

Cobblestones Restaurant

Looking to host a reunion in Lowell, Massachusetts? Cobblestones Restaurant offers numerous function and private dining rooms for a variety of celebrations. This restaurant is known regionally for its hand cut steaks, oysters on the half shell, and burgers. It’s also within walking distance of many of Lowell’s top attractions, so you’ll have plenty of fun options to check out as an after-party.

The Meeting Room and Chef Z’s Music Room can accommodate 20 and 25 guests respectively, giving a classy and intimate atmosphere to smaller reunions. For larger gatherings, the 2nd Story and the 3rd Floor Clubhouse both hold up to 100 guests. This makes them ideal for cocktail receptions where people who haven’t seen each other in a long while can wander about and catch up.

Lord Hobo Taproom & Restaurant

If you’re looking for a more casual atmosphere with plenty of good beer, Lord Hobo Taproom & Restaurant in Woburn, Massachusetts is ideal for your reunion. Guests can toast to a happy reunion with limited and brewery-only Lord Hobo releases, along with rotating guest taps of wine and cider. For food, the taproom serves a full menu of appetizers, craft pizzas, sandwiches, and other mouth-watering offerings.

They have two indoor seating sections and a semi-private event space that will accommodate your guests. However, keep in mind that while they do hold private events, Saturdays are not available for booking. You’ll be better off planning for a weekday where your request can be accommodated and the staff can treat you like royalty.

Yes, it’s time to start planning your next reunion, and Merrimack Valley has the venues you need. You and your family and friends will have a fantastic time catching up, wining and dining, and making new memories.
