The Rubbish to Runway Fashion Show takes place on Friday, June 27th and Saturday, June 28th at Veasey Memorial Park in Groveland.
The designers participating in this exciting event celebrating sustainability include local students, artists, fashion designers, educators, healthcare professionals, environmental advocates, non-profit organizations and retirees.
The materials utilized for clothing creation include plastic grocery bags, bread tabs, discarded fabrics from construction sites, old tents, and more. The designs are incredible!
With our theme of Community we aim to:
• Celebrate the diversity of our community by featuring models of varied ages, ethnicities, body types, and abilities.
• Integrate narratives into the fashion show that honor our community’s rich history, vibrant culture, and resilience amid challenges.
• Establish partnerships with local artisans, designers, and community organizations to cultivate a profound sense of belonging.
The funds raised during the 2025 show will have a significant impact on enhancing arts education and ensuring the sustainability of Veasey Memorial Park, a public park in Groveland, MA.
