The Lowell Folk Festival is one of the nation’s largest and most celebrated free folk music festivals, transforming downtown Lowell into a vibrant crossroads of sound, culture, and community. Each summer, musicians, dancers, and tradition bearers from around the world gather to share music rooted in history and alive in the present. From global rhythms and storytelling traditions to local foodways and craft, the festival is a powerful expression of how culture evolves, connects, and endures.
